Privacy policy

Last updated: October 2026

1. Controller

The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:

Grünwald Innovation
Sebastian Grünwald
Birchstrasse 6
8212 Neuhausen am Rheinfall
Switzerland

For questions about data protection, please contact privacy@giit.ch or write to the address above.

2. Principle

Based on Article 13 of the Swiss Federal Constitution and data protection law - in particular the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) - everyone has the right to privacy and to protection against misuse of their personal data. Personal data is treated confidentially and is neither sold nor passed on to third parties.

3. Scope

This policy applies to the website svg.giit.ch with the SVG Editor and all its pages.

4. Hosting by lima-city and server logs

This website is hosted by lima-city (Germany). When you visit the site, lima-city records technical access data in log files:

This data serves exclusively the technical operation and security of the systems. We do not link it to individual persons. The servers are located in Germany, a country with an adequate level of data protection under Swiss law.

Legal basis: legitimate interest in providing and securing the website (Art. 31 para. 1 FADP / Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR).

5. Your drawings stay in your browser

The SVG Editor runs entirely in your browser. SVG files you open, paste or draw, and all exports (SVG, PNG, JPG, WebP, data URI, React), are created on your device and are not sent to any server.

So that your work is not lost when you reload the page, the editor keeps the current code and your settings (grid, background, colors for new shapes, layout of the areas, light or dark theme) in your browser's local storage (localStorage). This data does not leave your device. You can remove it at any time in your browser settings ("Clear site data").

6. Cookies, analytics and third-party services

This website sets no cookies. There is no web analytics, no tracking and no profiling. Fonts, scripts and images are loaded only from this website, not from other servers.

If a drawing you open yourself refers to images on other websites, your browser loads those images from there for the preview. That depends on the drawing, not on this website.

7. Contact by email

If you write to us, we process the data you send (address, name, content) to handle your request. You can ask for it to be deleted at any time.

8. Your rights

Within the scope of the applicable data protection laws, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Please contact privacy@giit.ch.

9. Right to lodge a complaint

If you believe that the processing of your data is unlawful, you can lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, edoeb.admin.ch) or with the supervisory authority of your country of residence.

10. Changes

This policy is updated when necessary. The version published on this page applies.
